Vineyard Source: Castellucci Vineyard is located in the Carneros Region, where the fruit was hand harvested. Winemaking: This 100% Chardonnay was barrel fermented with no malolactic fermentation to enhance the crisp body and natural fruit. 18 months of meticulously monitored aging in French oak followed. Tasting Notes: Carneros character dominates the aromas including floral and citrus notes with a hint of vanilla bean. Very dry with notes of lemon peel and green apple that complement the flavor profile of this medium bodied release; ends with a long, satisfying finish. It was punched cap fermented by hand in small, one ton open top T-bins, followed by 16 months of barreling in French oak (33% new). Tasting Notes: Spicy aromatics and pomegranate mark the nose with a rich and complex, brightly balanced melange of red fruits the mouth. The finish is long and subtlety spicy. Aged six months in neutral French and American oak barrels. Complex citrus fruit flavors and aromas with a slight hint of oak highlight this crisp, clean release. The light straw color hints at the fresh, appealing flavor profile and delicate oak accents. 100% Chardonnay ALC 13.0% RS 0.38% pH 3.51 TA 0.61% 90 Points, June 2020 Anthony Dias Blue/Blue Lifestyle 2020 Pinot Noir Hand harvested and moved through an 82° fermentation using a Burgundy yeast to enhance the bright fruit character. The cool fog and bay breezes created a moderate vineyard climate resulting in a multi-layered, fruit driven wine with age softened tannins and a pleasant balance of fruit and oak.
